Rok předání firmy manželovi své dcery Sophie Barbary Gspahn není v dostupných zdrojích uvedeno (podle citace tisku ve zdroji původní jméno firmy stále existovalo i v r. 1801). Zeťova firma měla rozšířené jméno "Raspesche Kunst- und Buchhandlung". V r. 1819 vdova po zeťovi firmu ale prodala nakladateli Johannu Michaelu Bauerovi. Vznikla firma „Bauer & Raspe“.
